Custom Club Fitting
Using the wrong type of clubs can make golf an impossibly difficult sport ; Cavity Backs, Blades, Half Cavities, Hybrids, etc. and the selection process can become overwhelming. From beginner to intermediate golfer, chances are you probably do not need custom clubs, what you do need are clubs that match your ability.
Fitting for new clubs is only as good as the person fitting you . Changing to new clubs requires precision measurements . Establishing a "golf competence level" (GCL) is the main fitting criteria we use, not how much money you have. Once GCL is established, and your level of "swing control" (SC) , only then should the search begin for the right manufacturer with the right clubs for you. Interestingly, I have always found that if I like the looks, aesthetics (A) of how the club sets up, I gain immediate confidence in my ability to hit it. It's like buying a new car; if I don't like the looks of it, I could care less about it's gas mileage, I won't drive it.
So, our formula is GCL + SC + A= Club Selection
Training Aids
Golf quite possibly has more training aids than any other sport. Most of them are gimmicks that will make you look ridiculous with little or no help to your game. As PGA professionals we've evaluated every training aid on the market. Some will help you, most will not, let us show you how you can create your own practice tools.
Authenticity
Always beware of purchasing high end equipment on ebay and craigslist. There is a lot of fake equipment floating around out there, usually copies of the top end clubs Taylor Made R7s, Callaway FT-IQ and Scotty Putters are all great examples. Contact us anytime to take a look at your clubs or answer questions about your equipment. We maintain a library of super high resolution pictures of real clubs for you to compare with the clubs you're buying or already bought.
